Who Killed Boeing Whistleblower John Barnett?
The Strange Death of a Boeing Whistleblower
There's no way Americas last great manufacturer murdered a prominent critic.
Boeing says Barnett died of natural causes. But a private autopsy found he had a fatal level of an anesthetic in his system.
John Barnett was set to testify against the company in a wrongful death lawsuit. Barnett had raised concerns about safety issues with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which has been involved in several fatal accidents.
Barnett's death is being investigated by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office. The results of the investigation have not been released. But Barnett's family and friends believe he was murdered.
"John was a good man," said Barnett's mother, Evelyn Barnett. "He was trying to do the right thing. And now he's dead."
